Safeguarding

Safeguarding Statement

The Little Eucharistic Brothers of Divine Will are committed to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable persons. Our own safeguarding policy, standards and procedures interlinks with the Safe Communities initiative of the Archdiocese of Hobart and is informed by the Australian National Catholic Safeguarding Standards (NCSS).

The LEB’s Safe Ministry is informed and inspired by Gospel values, and Catholic teaching on human dignity, and accords with applicable national and Tasmanian state law, and national and state safeguarding standards, and ecclesial obligations and standards. Should our ministry operate in any other Australian states or territories, the legislative responsibilities proper to a state or territory will inform our safeguarding practices.

We encourage all, namely those we minister to, including children, youths and vulnerable persons, and their families, to open dialogue with us, especially as it pertains to our child safeguarding approaches, and to any concerns or queries.
